Hey I’m Shell!

Yogi, chef , amateur acrobat and personal trainer incoming. I am passionate about wellness and nutrition with a deep interest in both Eastern and Western functional medicine.

For the last 8 years I’ve been studying various disciplines and protocols such as Ayurveda, Yoga, yin Yoga and meridians, fasting and cleansing, handstand training and strength and conditioning.

The more I learn, the more I see how these practices weave together—creating an interconnected web of tools that support sustainable health, movement, and vitality.

Always seeking balance, I recognise and believe that we are all so wonderfully different and that not one path is the same for each of us when it comes to health and wellness.

My offerings are rooted in my own journey into health and preventative medicine - a gift from my heart and body to yours.

Handstand WORKSHOPS

I’m currently teaching handstand workshops and courses in Bristol. I also offer 121 sessions and programmes for acro yoga, handstands and yoga. You can find out more about these on the private 121s page.

My handstand workshops are aimed at improver level, those who can already kick up but may need some support and guidance finding balance. We do lots of alignment work and fun drills working towards other shapes such as tuck and straddle, so these workshops are also great if you can already handstand but need some variety, new drills and inspiration to try new things!

My handstand foundation courses are aimed at complete beginner level, there are no requirements for this course. The course is also suitable for those who can kick up and have been practicing but perhaps are inconsistent or haven’t done much foundational work.

For more details on handstands see the workshops page.

For more information on my yoga practice, teaching and what I can offer see the classes page.

PRIVATE CHEF

When I’m not balancing on my hands you’ll find me in the kitchen. In this space what always comes to mind is The Tao or Dao, also known as ‘The Way’ in Chinese philosophy.

Is it said that ‘If the way can be described, it is not the Way’ suggesting that it cannot be fully captured in words, and to do so would confine its essence. To me The Way is about living in flow with nature, being a vessel for source energy to keep reaching its infinite potential through us, a feeling of doing what I was set out on this Earth to do.

In Ayurveda, the most important part of digestion is Agni, which translates as ‘fire’ in Sanskrit. Our digestive fire is key for a healthy metabolism and the ability for the body to absorb and transform nutrients, and eliminate waste. It’s important to keep our Agni healthy which is where diet, exercise and lifestyle come into play.

My food is an evolution of creating dishes that are wholesome and nourishing, supporting bodily processes, celebrating seasonal produce and connecting with nature at the table. I believe that food should be a feast for the eyes as much as it is for the belly, tantalising the senses and becoming an enjoyable experience to eat well.
